Parental control software is different from the built-in parental control feature of Window OS or Mac OS.We can understand this software literally that it’s specially designed for control computer usage. Let’s take Anykeylogger as an example, I’ll show you the basic steps of setting parental control on PC.
First of all, you need to download the install package from Anykeylogger’s official site, and then double click the app icon in it to install.
Secondly, set some basic settings of the app so that you can get the logs you need. You can configure screenshot time interval and picture quality. Screenshots may take up considerable amount of disk space over time, don’t record the screenshot too frequently.
In addition to setting the screenshot, there’s one feature that you need to properly set – parental control.
Block Website
Please check “Enable Website Filter”, then you can choose which websites to be blocked.
Block Application
Ok, just check “Block Application”, and then you can click applications you want to block form your kids.
Time Control
Check “Enable Time Control" at first, then set the time limit for PC.
Apart from the settings above, the most important feature of this method need to be configured. In “Delivery” window, check “Enable email logs features” and set the email send time interval bellow. Test if the settings are correct by sending an email. When you have configured your mail service, you can now test it, just click the "Send Test Email" button. If the test mail was successfully sent, you can check your mailbox in a couple of minutes for the incoming test mail. If a test fails or takes longer than a few seconds to complete, then there are some issues with your configuration. Go back and review your settings.
After all the basic features set up, you can close the program and wait in front of your Mac. The logs collected by the app in PC will be automatically sent to your email address, and what you need to do is to check what your children have been done online and whether their activities on the Internet have met your requirements. Sometimes key logger program includes parental control function too, so it is used as parental control software more and more just like ankeylogger.
