The New Sony Xperia Z Ultra(coming This Fall!)

The New Sony Xperia Z Ultra(coming This Fall!)

Introduction-

There is so much technology in this world that you can't figure out where to go are come, when choosing the right phone/tablet. So here's how I make it easier for the latest technology that is out there today, well actually coming out hehe. I figured what if I had all in one something like a phablet. It sounds familar like, I could of sworn I heard it from the Samsung Galaxy Note(which is true) and this one would be in the same catergory like the Note. So wait no futher I will reveil the name of this new technology that is going to be released sometime this fall(September). Its called "The Sony Xperia Z Ultra"! Which I will tell you why you should check this badboy out immediately!

I will show you this picture of how it would look once released:(See Image)

I just love how it looks not to big(some might disagree) and not to heavy. Some may perfer not to have a big huge phablet on their ear, but trust me this baby right here will sure make you enjoy its benefits from it. So let me tell you why I would love to get this:

What to expect-

The new device will have a massive 6.44-inch display and is also rumored to feature a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD slot and an 8-megapixel rear camera.

The 6.44" Full HD (1080p) 342ppi touchscreen display uses Sony's TRILUMINOSâ„¢ and X-Reality for mobile technology, with an OptiContrast panel to reduce reflection and enable clearer viewing even in bright sunlight. The screen is highly responsive and compatible with stylus as well as regular pencils or metal pens.

Also the best part about this smartphone is that its waterproof where it can go up to one meter of water for up to thirty minutes. That really excites me because I had phones where I accidentiaclly dropped in the pool still mad about that, but I think this is going to be a really great phone/tablet(phablet) whichever you want to call it.

Last Information-

This is just one great tablet that is going to be on the market soon. More to come as I will surely bring you the updated technology that is going to come sooner than expected.

Inconclusion-

Like I said there is so much technology out there, but always always get one that is going to benefit your money, needs, school, or work. I want to help anyone that is looking for that perfect mobile device that is going to get them the best quality asap! Love technology so much that I look for the greatest that is going to benefit my needs, when going back to college. This one honestly is my #1 choice when it comes out, a great choice in PHABLETS!! Ok phone/tablet then.

Stay tune More to come soon!

Malware, Spyware, Adware, Or A Virus - Here Are the Differences

People often call me and tell me they have a virus and usually it is malware, to the end user the difference may seem small, but to the person you call the difference can be a completely different methodology in removing the infection. Below I am going to outline the basic differences between the three.

The Virus

A computer virus can be likened to the Flu and acts in much the same manner. They are usually hidden inside other programs and run when the program does, they will then replicate and then corrupt or delete files on your system, causing considerable damage. They can also interfere with your computer by replicating in the RAM (Random Access Memory) or on the hard drive and fill them up.

They can be downloaded in a variety of ways in the form of games, email attachments or image files.

Spyware

Spyware is another kind of infection that does what the name says, once downloaded onto your system, through many of the same ways as a virus (email, games, or images), it sits on your system and spies on your activity. They can contain keyloggers, these keyloggers will record everything you type and look for personal information, which can then be used to find the passwords to bank accounts, or credit information needed for Identity Theft. Other types will change your system settings and slow your computer or internet connection down to a crawl.

Adware

To most people Adware is the most in your face, once it is installed it will track your browser history, then it will hit you with pop up adds, we have all seen them, you open up your browser, and then you get hit with the advertisements that take over your web browser, usually opening a new window.

Now, these may seem like they would not be that much of a problem, or even lead you to something that you would buy, but many of these programs are loaded with spyware or keyloggers themselves and are taking your information causing your privacy to be invaded or your computer to be damaged.

Malware

Malware is the broad based term for labeling all of they types of Malicious software including Viruses, Adware, Spyware, and other such as worms and Trojan Horses. Malware is designed to allow hackers and other nefarious types access to your computer, or just to cause you trouble.

Conclusion

This is a broad overview of the different types of Malware, There are more and I will cover all of these in greater detail in further blogs. The best way to stop any of these viruses, is not to get infected in the first place, so be aware of emails and programs that you open or download.

I hope you enjoyed the read!

Smartphones Have Become A Necessary Luxury

Smartphones Have Become A Necessary Luxury

When I was younger, nobody I knew ever had a cellphone of any kind. If you wanted to call someone, you had to use a landline, which usually consisted of a house phone or a pay phone. Back in those days it seemed like we got along just fine without the use of cell phones. I mean, I'm still alive, right?

Fast forward to my high school days in the mid 2000's, and it seemed like most people had a regular cell phone. My family has always been behind on technology, so of course they never jumped on upgrading to the latest technology which was using a portable phone. Pay phones were starting to become more and more scarce. Since I didn't drive during most of my high school experience, I relied on my parents picking me up after I got done with school and practice. They often didn't know exactly what time to pick me up, so I had to call them to let them know.

At my school, they became more and more stingy with allowing students to use the landline they had to call someone. I don't know what the reasoning behind this was, but they became jerks about it and kept telling me to get a cell phone, as if it was that easy.

Nowadays, my family and I all have cell phones, but not one of us has a smartphone. It's crazy because I often have people sending me stuff that can only be accessed with a smartphone, and they are dumbfounded when I tell them I can't receive any of that stuff because of the limitations of my regular phone. "Dude, you need an iphone or Droid man, you got to upgrade!", they tell me. Yeah, okay, it would be nice but I'm stuck until my contract runs out.

Even in college, professors are encouraging people to use their smartphones to look up certain websites while in class. Of course, it seems like I'm the only dummy without one, and people always look at me funny when I tell them I only have a regular cell phone. It's crazy though how expensive it is just to purchase an iphone or droid and then get the data package, yet everyone seems to have one.

My parents have always taught me that having a cell phone is a luxury item that's not needed, but it's becoming clear to me that having not just a cell phone, but a smart phone is becoming more and more necessary in today's society. We use it in many different ways to make our lives easier, and it seems like the fast increase in technology is making it more necessary for us to be connected. Not having a smart phone has made me feel out of the loop, but one day I will finally upgrade, hopefully soon.

Why I Put My Phone Beside My Pillow When I Go to Sleep

When I call it a night, I put my cell phone beside my pillow. I then crawl into bed beside my husband, and I drift off to sleep. I keep my phone beside me for two reasons.

First, my husband is a heart patient. If he had a heart attack during the night, I would not want to waste time going to the living room to get my phone off my TV tray. The time spent could cost him his life. By having my phone beside me, I can respond to the situation in a timely manner. There is also another reason why I keep my phone beside me: our safety.

We live in an area that is a bit rough. We often worry about individuals in our neighborhood possibly breaking in. If this ever happened, I would want to be able to call 9-1-1 to report the break-in. That way, the criminals could be caught, and we could be safe. There is one nighttime situation that I do not need to worry about, however: texting in my sleep.

I do not need to worry about this because I do not own a smartphone. My phone is capable of sending and receiving texts, but typing a text message on my phone is much harder. The difficulty of composing a text, combined with the added expense, is why I do not send text messages. Because I do not have to worry about sending text messages in my sleep, I avoid the problem of sending messages that do not make sense. I could just imagine sending a message to my mom or one of my sisters, for example. If I composed and sent this message in my sleep, there is no telling what it might say. The receiver of this text would likely be very confused. On the other hand, we might both have a good laugh over it.

If you tend to text in your sleep, you might want to consider hiding your phone. Put it in your dresser drawer, for example. This is a place that you probably visit often. If you put your phone there, you will see it very time you open your drawer. Therefore, you will not worry that you lost it.

When you have put your phone away, you can then get the sleep that you need, so that you can be rested and ready for another day.

Kids Do Not Need Cell Phones

A kid needs many things in order to live a good life. For example, he needs a loving family, food, clothing, shelter, friends, a good education, and proper health care. He does not need a cell phone, however.

One reason why a kid does not need a cell phone is because he could lose it. In most cases, he did not save up the money to buy it. His parents bought it for him. Because he did not buy it, he may be irresponsible with it. He might leave it on the school bus, for example. He will then come home from school without his phone, and his parents will be upset. They will be angry that he lost something that cost them so much. The worry that the child will lose the phone is not the only reason why he does not need one, however.

Another reason why a child does not need a cell phone is because most children are not good with money. They do not understand that cell phones run on minutes, and minutes are not free. Someone must buy them in order for the phone to be usable. Because they do not understand this, they are bound to make many calls. They call their friends and talk for hours, for example. They might also call outside the country, which will be expensive. Children do need to be safe, however, and their parents need to know where they are.

Many kids like to get dropped off at a friend’s house after school. Rather than having his own phone for the purpose of making this call, a child can use the phone at his friend’s house. After making this quick call, his parents will know where he is. He can then continue playing, and his parents can go on with what they were doing. Then, at a specified time, they can go pick him up.

Rather than having a cell phone as a child, it makes more sense to get one as a teenager. Teenagers begin holding jobs. They need a phone so that their supervisors and coworkers can get in touch with them. Many teens also drive. Therefore, they need a phone in case they get in trouble on the road.

Children should enjoy their childhood. Play with toys, and have sleepovers at friends’ houses. Then, when they get older, they can get a phone.

Please Don't Hog the Wifi

Ah, the lure of the coffee shop—where you can go online while enjoying a tasty hot beverage. As you sip, you enjoy your favorite sites. You might check Twitter to see what topics are currently trending, for example. There are several reasons why you might want to go to a coffee shop to access the Internet.

One reason is because it is good to get out of the house. You might enjoy getting online in the comfort and privacy of your own home, but it is unhealthy to stay in the house too much. For your mental and emotional well-being, it is important to get out regularly. If you were going to use part of your outing to go online, you might want to do your Internet activities at a coffee shop. There, you can be around other people. There is also another reason why you might want to go to a coffee shop to get online. It may help to inspire some ideas.

The smell of coffee, new sights, sounds, and faces may help to get your creative juices flowing. You should then be able to get many ideas for creative work.

While a new environment may help you, please be considerate of others. Do not hog the WiFi. Pick one activity that is important to you, and focus on completing that activity. Check your email, check the headlines, or submit an article, for example. Enjoy your tasty beverage during your activity. Then, sign out, and move on. Let somebody else use your space to get online. You can then go on with the rest of your day. Go buy groceries, for example. Stock up on items that you need, such as fruits and vegetables, coffee, and cocoa. Then, when you have everything that you need, go home, and put your groceries away. Consider working out, so that you can unwind, stay fit, and prepare for another day.

If you often go online to play one of the many popular Facebook games, consider taking your laptop to a friend’s house to play the game. By gaming at a friend’s house, you will be out of your own house, you will be spending time with your friends, you will be enjoying a favorite activity, and you will be able to avoid getting kicked off a public computer for spending too much time there.

Limit the amount of time that you spend at a public WiFi spot. That way, you will avoid irritating those around you who are waiting to get online. You will also have a reason to go out again.

Intel Core I7 - 3770k My Review

Intel Core I7 - 3770k My Review

Now we're talking power for your gaming computer!

I'm excited to talk about Intel's i7-3770K CPU, or processor, from the lga 1155 interface line. It has a lots of plus's, and some negatives, but only a few, that I would like to share with you today.

My goal is to build this bad boy CPU onto my "Beast"--in which one of my computer names from my site, The Golliath Slayer! For those who have seen my site, I like to build massive gamer computers, specialized to run at top notch capacities, and to outperform any of those other "so-called" gamer computer makers.

OK, back to the CPU: This is Intel's 3rd generation processor that's really loaded with a lot of punch! The name that Intel gave this category of processors, comes from the Ivy Bridge family, in which the predecessor was called Sandy Bridge. We'll get to that in a little bit.

Built with excellence and with Intel's Hyper-Threading technology, Turbo boosting technology 2.0, and even breaks the previous model's power efficiency, and offers you better media and graphics for video. It also supports Direct 11X, which is known for the smoothness, and "glamour" in today's video games, much more so than Microsoft's Direct 9.0X. Of course, with Windows OS 7, we're able to have this. With XP, we had to settle for Direct 9.0X.

Why hyper-threading? It allows much better and efficient use of the CPU, higher processing through out, and the capacities of running video edits much more smoothly and quickly. It doesn't make much difference with gaming, but when running video editing, hyper-threading makes it so much easier, much more productive and faster.

Intel's Turbo Boost Technology

This feature allows the processor to run with much increased performance both in the single and multi-core usage; with this new technology that Intel has created, it automatically runs faster, maintaining a lower temperature, below regular power, and regular limitations. It's increased graphics performance is not compromised overall. It allows for an intensive graphic workloads, not normally performed in quad-core processors.

Smart Cache by Intel

The higher amounts of cache flowing through the CPU allows for ultra efficient manipulation and storage. This where video editing is noted for better management of data and general purposes.

Features:

  • Improved and enhanced Intel's SpeedStep Technology, which in essence delivers high performance, and energy conservancy is not compromised.

  • Intel's Smart Cache: Allows for the speed and efficiency of the 4 core processor with 8 mb cache.

  • Intel's Virtualization Technology: Optimization for smoother output, and greater resources.

  • 3.50 GhZ Quad-Core CPU: Highest speed performance with out compromising efficiency and applications or tasks such as video/audio editing.

  • Intel's Turbo Boost Technology: Can be Over clocked up to 3.90Ghz (and I've seen even more by some experienced over clockers) for when you need to push it's limits. More speed when you need it.

Specifications :

  • Made and Designed by Intel

  • Gamer Desktop CPU, or Video Editor's CPU

  • LGA 1155 Interface for Motherboards

  • 3rd Generation Ivy Core i-7

  • 3.50 Ghz Speed (which can be overclocked)

  • Quad Core, 4 operating cores.

  • L3 Cache: 8MB

  • Includes Fan

  • 77 Watts

  • Has Unlocked Multiplier

  • Integrated Graphics for Video, and can be utilized in the lower settings for games.

  • Each Core for Graphics are between 650-1150 Mhz

  • Has an integrated memory controller

From Computer Shopper, but it was ranked #1 out of 5 for CPU processors, even with the Haswell i7-4770K CPU for retail sale, for gaming and video editing. And, the i-5 2500K processor still made #5! See my previous article.

Here's my wrap up :

Pros :

  • Ultimate CPU for your gaming and/or Video editing computer; or just simply want a high performance computer without paying the REALLY big I-3970K price of $1K or more!

  • Higher efficient-takes less power to run, without compromising performance.

  • It can be over clocked, a lot!

  • Even includes an integrated video graphics, you could use your computer w/o the videocard.

  • It's got extreme high performance, and it's really FAST!

  • Doesn't cost as much as the I-7 3970K CPU's, in fact it's more than 1/3rd the price!

Cons :

  • It's discontinued, still can buy it, but it's being replaced by the Haswell i-7 4770K

  • The fan included may not be sufficient enough when over clocked.

  • A little pricey, but for those who will need the Hyper-Threading feature, it's well worth the extra $$$.

Conclusion/Bottom Line :

The Intel i7-3770K CPU isn't for everyone, and because it's over $100 more than the 2500K or 3570K processor from Intel. Granted, for those who are budgeted gamers, the 2500K CPU is really just fine. It's the hyper-threading feature that you're paying for, and with gamer's, they won't notice that much difference, if any at all, but will notice when making the computer run on higher demands on video editing.

The First Time I Used A Portable Breathalyzer

The First Time I Used A Portable Breathalyzer

A portable breathalyzer probably wouldn't change happens in this story, but it's entertaining none the less. In 1995 after graduating from high school, I was attending the University of Colorado at Boulder. A beautiful school with a serious drinking problem (I'll get into that with subsequent articles). During spring break in my freshman year, my parents went on a vacation and left the house to my me to stay in while they soaked up the sun in Florida.

Immediately I decided a party for my friends was in order. To set the stage, you have to realize my parent's home is in the middle of nowhere, Colorado. Franktown to be exact. Know where that is? No, I didn't think so. It's also on acreage. To me, it was the perfect place to host a party for 20 people.

The beer was purchased, the liquor was on hand. We trucked our stereo equipment and cd collections down I-25 and set up for the perfect party. There was one problem - my sister (18 years old) decided she and her friends would like to partake. Being the protective and safe older brother, I told her sure, as long as none of your friends leave. They all had to spend the night (hadn't even heard of a portable breathalyzer at this point in my life.)

My sister agreed and invited her 4 friends over and sometime after dusk, the cars started arriving. The party was everything we expected. We had a hot tub on the back patio, we had a huge selection of music, we had drinks pouring like crazy. No one was 21 and no one cared - we were living it up and having the time of our lives. We had not a care in the world because we were at my house, out in the country and no one wanted to leave. Paradise.

Then disaster struck.

Near midnight my sister's friend, Dave, left the party. Unbeknownst to me, he was in the barn smoking pot the entire night, not drinking. Several miles away, he was pulled over and the officer asked what he had been doing. The young man informed the officer he left a "pot party" at my house.

Let me be crystal clear - we were NOT smoking pot - we were drinking as safely as we could.

The officer took this as a sign to bust up what seemed liked a huge party and at approximately 1:00 am, while sitting in my hot tub, I saw a flashlight cross over my back yard, followed by a large man in a blue uniform ordering me and my two other friends out of the hot tub.

I walk inside my house and find every guest in the kitchen with three officers. The officers were asking where the marijuana was to which everyone replied there was none. It was the truth. They officers were embarrassed and decided instead of leaving, to give everyone an alcohol test using their portable breathalyzer units they keep in their vehicles.

Everyone (except my sister ironically) received a ticket that night, except for my good friend who hid under the deck. I was livid and the officers made me gather up all the alcohol in the house. They asked me to go downstairs and get the bottles and the coolers of beer. I agreed happily, went downstairs and threw all the liquor into the bushes in the back yard. After the police left, the party raged on until all hours of the morning (for a full 3 days too!)

After a week had passed, we went to court, paid fines and went about our lives. In this case, a portable breathalyzer wouldn't have changed a thing - but here's what it does do. It makes you think that life is short and one bad decision can have a huge effect on your life.

Be safe and think before you drink.

Phablet's: Tomorrow's Cell Phones, Today

Phablet\'s: Tomorrow\'s Cell Phones, Today

In Today's world, it's as though the laptop computer has been outsold by the new "techie" craze--The Tablet.

You still need a PC to conduct business, or if you prefer Mac's over them, OK. But with technology advancing all the time, it's not uncommon to see people on their tablets or "smart" phones--which in an essence are a smaller version of a tablet.

They're pretty cool, the Smart Phones, you can obviously call on them, text, and have conversations at mcdonalds with your friends across town(or across the dining area). There are no additional charges, and you just have to use Google Talk and Talkatone. Both work together to create your Tablet Cell-Phone. It's kind of funny! Watch out Samsung Note II, your bigger brother is(really bigger)than you!

As I remember, you have to first get the google talk, which will get you your phone number, and will allow you to pick your phone number from a list of numbers from your area. Where I live, my little town wasn't big enough for numbers, so I went to the next bigger town. Most likely won't happen to you. Not a big deal, just want to let you know that you won't be able to use your cell phone--at least not to my knowledge.

WI-FI: You'll need that
Wifi area to allow you to give you the phone tone. Note: some areas don't allow you to use the talktone/google talk so I just want to let you know now: It doesn't work in ALL areas!

So, there you have it! You have a free phone, within a Wi-Fi network! You could use it as a separate line, or as a fun phone, or, if all of the phones are used up in the house. Use it as a business line.

My experience, I really trust the Samsung phone line. My tablet is the Tab II 7, now they have out the Tab III 7, little difference. I have used cheaper tablets, but most of the ones I have used, without mentioning their names, don't work, or at least don't work well what I have tried doing.

Invest in a better tablet, and don't go cheap on buying the "cheapest" tablet to hope it will work. I don't know all the specifics on why a better made tablet works better than a cheap one. I just don't waste my time on them.

PROS: It's a Free Cell Phone within your network, and you can make phone calls, at least to my knowledge within the continental USA.

CONS: Not all networks will be ultimately compatible. Do some testing around areas. Have another cell phone with you, that you know is reliable. It's not the most private either, it's like having your phone on speaker phone, so it's louder. The phone number on the other end isn't the same as yours. You have to tell people you call that it's coming up as a different caller ID. Can be bad if you want people to know it's you.

Bottom Line: It's worth checking into, the worst case scenario is that you won't be able to get it to work, but if you do, you have yourself a free phone. Like I said before, I didn't test all areas like Starbucks and McDonalds, Arby's, etc.

If You Don’t Buy Canon Eos Rebel Camera Case Now, You’ll Hate Yourself Later

If You Don’t Buy Canon Eos Rebel Camera Case Now, You’ll Hate Yourself Later

Why do we need a Canon Eos Rebel camera case? We can never imagine how the inventor of digital camera, Steven Sasson, had gone through just to give us the pleasure of using our cameras in turning moments into memories. Canon Eos Rebel is one of the fruits of Canon camera developers’ labor.

It has been crafted carefully. Think of how many parts a camera has and they have been placed accordingly just to take a picture. It takes months or even years to build a camera that is why not taking good care of it is a big mistake. It is not just your money being wasted but also the efforts of those people who made the camera.

This Canon camera case gives protection plus style. It is made out of leather which gives that vintage but classic look. Surely it will stand out from other camera bags of your friends. It is a space-saver because it has an outer size of 28.5 cm in length, 21 cm in height and 13 cm wide. But it does not mean it is small inside because it has huge space for your Canon Eos Rebel because it is 27 cm long, 17.5 cm thick and 11 cm wide. Since it is made out of leather, it is not easily scratched and is very convenient to clean.

You just have to wipe the dust by a piece of cloth unlike other cases that are made of fabric that requires washing. This gives a high level of convenience like for example you are on a birthday party and a child accidentally spilled juice to it, this case will not absorb the liquid unlike bags that are made out of linen. It is definitely stain and spill free. It is also lightweight so you will not get lazy in bringing it wherever you go.

It has a strap that is made of thin yet durable fabric. It can be easily adjusted through the rectangular buckle. It is also permanently attached in the D-ring buckle on both sides so you need not to worry that it would detach from the bag. The cover flap uses button clip for it to be easily opened. It is best for photo sessions that are in the rush like covering a breaking news event and unexpected moments like a comet passing buy or just saw a precious moment in the park. It has a huge back pocket where you can put your other gadgets like mobile phone, recorder and mp3 player. It has two front pockets where you can store your Canon Eos Rebel camera accessories like spare batteries, memory cards and camera lace. It is sturdy enough to stand vertically. Minimum amount of force will not make it fall. Its ends are tightly stitched to secure that it would not get easily ripped. It is made of high quality leather and it will not fade or get peeled just like other synthetic leather.

It may look hard from the outside because of its rectangular shape but is definitely soft inside. It is cushioned inside with thick cotton to prevent your camera’s screen and lenses from getting scratched or broken. So even if you are on a rough trip or you accidentally shook it, your camera is still safe. It is also very spacious and organized inside. It has three compartments. One is for the camera while the other two is for the lenses. This way you can have a systematic way of assembling your camera. The divisions are adjustable depending on the size of the lenses.

This Canon Eos Rebel camera bag is flexible because it is also compatible with other cameras like EOS 550D and EOS 1000D. Canon Eos Rebel XS camera case is also available to online stores like Ebay. You just have to be careful in reading their description, specs and price. You should also check other reviews about the product to check if the offer is really true. It will also help you to compare the prices. Read and understand the payment system carefully to ensure that your order will be delivered to you.

For a maximum protection for your camera, grab a Canon Eos Rebel camera case now. Most often than not, we just appreciate how important our camera to us when it is already broken or we lost them completely.

It enables faster swiping, customizable icons, notifications for unread email, custom icons, and a host of other features. There are many customization apps out there for the Android platform, but this one is by far the best.

Wolfram Alpha - College would have been a lot easier if I had had this in my pocket the whole time. Having the Wolfram Alpha app is like having a genius in your pocket. Basically you can ask it anything, literally anything, like math, history, language, conversion, etymology, whatever, and it will return with a detailed answer. It’s pretty awesome.

Kindle - Amazon is still at the top of the heap as far as reading apps go. It’s great looking and a pleasure to use. You get access to the amazon store which has a ton of paid and free books so you’ll always have something to read, and it allows you to sync across devices so you’ll never lose your place in a book again. Oh yeah, it’s free.

Office Suite Pro - If you plan on using your Nexus 7 for business, this is the app to have. The Office Suite Pro app allows you to create, edit, print, and share all of the common types of Microsoft documents like Word and Excel. You can use it with a cloud service such as Google Drive or Dropbox, so that your documents are with you wherever you go. At $14.99 it’s a little on the pricey side, but man is it convenient.

Netflix - You probably already know what this app does. You might even already be using Netflix on your computer. Well this app is just like that except that you can take it with you and watch movies or tv wherever you go. One of the features I like the best is being able to start a movie at home and finish it somewhere else. This app keeps track of where you were in a movie or show so that you can pick up right where you left off.

WebMD - Hypochondriac? Yes, there is an app for that. With this app you can enter in your symptoms and find out why you’re feeling sick. There’s also information on drugs and treatments, a pill identifier, and listings of local healthcare providers. The first aid essentials guide also makes this a really smart app to have.

Plex for Android - If you have a large media library you are definitely going to want to check this one out. It connects to the Plex Media Server Software installed on your PC and provides an organized view and allows you to stream the files in your library to your tablet. It will also fetch reviews and other information about the files you already have. This is great app for those of us that are too lazy to keep our folders organized.

Youtube - Why limit yourself to only wasting time in front of your home or office computer? With this app you can keep up with what’s going on on Youtube no matter where you are. You can stream videos in HD, subscribe to channels, and share them to your favorite social media platform. Being unproductive has never been so easy.

Spotify - This app is truly great. Spotify is a streaming music provider that gives you access just about any music you can think of. It’s free with ads or you can pay a low monthly charge to get rid of them and unlock the full capability of the app. It’s a great app to get and keep the party started.

Flipboard - This is simply one of the most well designed apps for reading web content on the market today. Flipboard takes your Facebook, Twitter, RSS feeds, and other web content and puts them in an attractive easy to read magazine format. Also you can create your own magazines out of things that you have found around the web. It’s a great way to keep up with all of you social sites and blogs.

Finding the right apps for your Nexus 7 or other Android tablet can make a world of difference. With the right combination you can turn that piece of metal and wires in your into a productive, entertaining, and fun device. There are new apps coming out every day and the future of tablet computing looks very promising.

Why A Tablet Should Be Your Next Computer

Why A Tablet Should Be Your Next Computer

There has been a shift in trends in mobile computing as of late. There was a time when the laptop reigned supreme as the device of choice for those us that needed a portable computing solution. That has all changed. With the recent shifts in price and performance, the tablet is quickly gaining in popularity and is projected to overtake the PC in the near future. It is my opinion that for the average user the tablet is the better choice for handling your personal computing needs. Let's look at why.

The average user doesn't need all of the heavy duty computing power that todays computers are offering. Most people use their computers to simply check their email, keep up with their Facebook accounts, watch a couple of Youtube videos, and that's about it. It's not necessary to have the latest computer, with the latest processor, a gigantic hard drive, and massive amounts of RAM to accomplish these tasks. Unless you are doing something like editing video, or maybe gaming, all of that extra horse power really does you no good.

Today's tablets do a more than adequate job of handling the tasks that one would need a computer for. There is probably an app that you can download that will allow you to do whatever it is that you would be doing on your desktop or laptop. There are great apps for word processing, email, dedicated social apps like twitter and Facebook, and GPS enabled maps apps so you'll always know where you are.

Also since they are so small you can take them wherever you want. Most tablets have around 10 hours of battery life so you don't have to worry about it going dead while you are out. Compare that with a laptop where you get 4 hours tops and always have to have a charger handy. Many tablets even offer access to cellular service so you can connect to the internet in places where there is no wi-fi.

Honestly, I don't see any reason for the average consumer to buy a desktop or laptop anymore. Maybe some people in creative fields that rely on heavy duty processing for working with audio or video might still need them, but most people aren't doing that. Tablets are simply more convenient and as they become for popular their prices are going down. There are a lot of inexpensive tablets out there on the market today. You should take a look at them before you make your next computer purchase.

Classic I - 5 2500k Gaming Processor From Intel

Classic I - 5 2500k Gaming Processor From Intel

A couple of years ago, I had purchased a new computer for my wife, and was amazed on the reviews I had heard about the Intel I-5 2500K processor. Still after more than 2 years, it's still performing like a champ!

For guys/gals that are into gaming. Performance must be optimal. We simply don't have time for lag, slowness, and man, if we want to overclock that bad boy, we want to overclock'er to the max!

From my experience, so far, it's one of the best processors on the market. Granted, they now have the I-5 3570K CPU, and NOW with the I5-4670K Haswell processor, that newly came out in the market about a month ago. It's still a coveted CPU, and even gamers still like this one. And, if you try to find it, the price has gone up! How do you like that?!

Like I have said before, for performance, this CPU is one heck of an awesome processor. It's got a Quad-Core processor, which simply means that there are 4 processors working at the same time, so that you can accomplish other tasks on the computer as well, while doing other things at the same time.

It's got a capacity of turbo-boosting to 3.7 Ghz. One of the many nice things the "K" meaning on the end of the processor--which simply means that you can over clock this processor. There are more expensive processors out there on the market, such as Intel's I-7 3970K CPU, but who has over a grand for these processors. Obviously there are, because these fanatical builders are gamer specialists out there on the market, who demand even more performance, such as liquid cooling, and multiple fans in their systems.--But that's another story in it's own.

Specifications for the I-2500K Processor:

LGA 1155 Socket type

Intel's Sandy Bridge Core

Quad-Core Multiple Cores -4 Cores Total

I also must mention that it does support 64-bit motherboards. That simply means that the motherboards that it supports, has 4 gigabytes of memory or more for it. It's pretty much a standard today, granted there are 32-bit computers, but those are mostly simple business computers.

It does not support hyper-threading like the I-7 2600K & 2700K processors. That basically means that there's a demand for quicker processing for doing video edits, but has no effect, whatsoever on the performance for gaming.

It also has integrated graphics for video. Basically this means that you don't have to purchase a video card to run on your computer. Serious gamers will ignore this, and purchase a high-end video card to help them with performance. It's more and less for the people who don't want to "game" with their computer.

It includes a simple heat sink/fan with the processor, and works just fine. I haven't replaced mine, and I don't over-clock'r my processor, well, at least most of the time! **Giggles** The danger with over-clocking is that it can cause your computer to over-heat, and to about 138 degrees fahrenheit. Just keep it cool with fans, coolant, and other devices from overheating. Then you will be in great shape. That's so hot, you could cook your omelette on it! No, just kidding, and don't try this at home, kids!

It has also been known to be one of the top 10 CPU's for video editing! Yes, unbelievable, but it's ranked like number 8 the last time I checked. Pretty decent for a processor that's more intended for gaming, than video editing.

With newer technology coming out all of the time, Intel does a great job in making their processors faster, more efficient, and without performance loss.

Full Frame Or Aps - c Which One is More Suitable for Green Hands

DSLR can be mainly divided into two models: full frame and APS-C. Of course, if you are captious, there are also APS-H and 4/3, but they are not the main stream. The most obvious difference between them is the sensor inside, which has the same function as traditional negative film that determine the size and quality of photos. Due to the reason of high price of the sensor, some DSRLs (we call APS-C) cut about 1/3 in size. Full frame totally has the same size as the traditional photo.

Does it matter? In fact, it cut 33% bokeh, which is the single eye feature that many people love. You can directly think that full frame is better than APS-C as it has more photography options and quality. Or you can say that when the users don’t like the bokeh, full frame is not necessary. It is just like there is a seafood banquet but you allergy. When the light in the house is not sufficient, or that needs bokeh in wedding photography, full frame is my first choice. The performance of image and depth of field are irreplaceable.

Then what is the advantage of APS-C. To myself, I use it frequently at outdoor or travel as it is lightweight. There are a lot long zoom lenses, which is very wonderful in wildlife photography. Due to the feature of lens, the edge of the image is related worse than the centre in image. Now APS-C cut the put. The conclusion is turn out: though they have different as the reason of cost, there are no absolutely advantage and disadvantages.

Good or bad of a camera is mostly determined by the users. Of course, the cameras have different emphasis. Take Canon as example, they divide the products into three levels. The ones have three numbers (500D/550D/600D) is normal in quality and function; two numbers (40D/50D/60D) have normal quality but good functions; single number ones have good quality and normal functions; 1 series is the best (1D/1Ds). The boundary is faint and there are special models. In the price part, the last series 1D can be 10 times to 500D.

Many people recommend green hands to buy the best camera at first, which is not my point, because not everyone need or handle the functions of top models. I can see a many people carry more expensive camera than I but very poor in photography. It is a pity. Of course, if you are rich and don’t care about money, the best one will be OK. But to most of the beginners, you should care more about the budget as the cost of photography is the number in your mind. Beside camera and lens, below list of equipments may remind you this point: tripod, camera bags, filter, flash, stabilizer, background, and so on. Every part needs money.

Now, I’d like to recommend several models. For low budget friends, my suggestion is Canon EOS 550D or Sony NEX-5N. The reason I don’t recommend Nikon is that I don’t use it frequently, but I have a good impression to the D7000.

Video Emails - Put Your Face And Message Out There!

Video Emails - Put Your Face And Message Out There!

We are visual creatures. We like seeing things. We need more and more stimulation. It is great to write and receive emails but even better when we get a phone call! When you get a message it is great to read the information, even better when you hear a person's voice but what is even more satisfying is to see the person's face and see her or him talking! We make all kinds of decisions including purchasing and business based on our impressions.

We are watching more and more videos. YouTube is becoming more popular than TV. It is reported by consumer tracking services that for 45 % of consumers TV is becoming their preferred Internet video screen. Around 10% of homes have Internet enabled TV screens.

People are watching record number of videos on their smartphones and tablets. Digital media consumption continues to increase with the growing number of TV-s that has Internet connection and smartphones and tablets with mobile internet connections.

Mobile video views had jumped 300% last year. Tablets are fueling this growth in record numbers. Social media plays significant role in marketing. Socially-referred videos have much higher viewing rates. Social media users are more than twice as likely to like, comment or share video content than non video content. Twitter with its reasonably small, 16% video social referrals, three times more to generate referral traffic than any other social media websites.

This Adobe study recommends that businesses should produce more video for marketing and use more social media to engage viewers. The study states that only one-fourth of companies use videos in their social media postings!

Smart network marketing individuals already figured out that building a good database of followers and delivering regular valuable information to our mailbox on our computers or mobile devices is a very profitable move when it comes to business. How many marketing email do you get in your mailbox daily? How many does include video links?

However, there is a very smart company called Talk Fusion who figured out how to deliver emails that include a professionally designed template with video insertions that open online.

You can select from hundreds of professionally designed beautiful templates for any business or personal occasion or events and insert a number of videos (your own or professionally made, you even can select videos provided by the company that are professionally made) and send out to individuals or groups. This email can contain a message like a normal email and even an attachment. However, when you click the play button, it takes you online so the video does not download on your computer. The recipient gets an email that is like a beautifully designed E postcard with a video inserted in it. Honestly, it is pretty impressive and very high-tech! You even can design your own template or have one designed by the company's award winning design department!

Once a video email is sent, it stays in the sender's Talk Fusion library that is located in the online office and can be sent out to the same or new people, shared again with anyone or on any platform on social media. The sender gets an immediate email notification when the video email has been viewed by the recipient. While these emails are sitting in the sender's library, the statistics show every movement of the video email and track the viewings.

It is really easy and quick to use Talk Fusion. There is full manual and video tutorial included within the online office that can is accessible online. The 'On the Go' app can be downloaded to mobile devices so you can be anywhere and still stay in touch with business, colleagues, family and friends through video emails, regardless of using Talk Fusion for business or fun! It takes 30-60 seconds to send out a video email once you know how to use the system and truly anyone can do it!

You can imagine, what an advantage it is for business owners in any industry or for companies like Banks, Real Estates, Car Dealers, Medical Practices, really, for anyone, to know exactly when to call the client for a follow up and discuss the information that just has been viewed!

Can you imagine, how a band or an artist can promote their music or any art work directly to their fans when they can include a video of their latest concert or exhibition to notify them about the next one? Include a personal message to let them know about any news sending their video emails with video clips in a branded template straight to the mailbox of their followers?

Instead of expecting people to find them on YouTube or visit their website, the video email gets delivered to the fans' email account on their computer, smartphones and tablets and can be shared right away with others!

Just picture a birthday video message, a holiday video clip, a Thank You message or a Baby's first step video email being sent to loved ones! Or just your favourite music video inserted in a great template with your personal message sent to someone you love!

Video online communication is here to stay. By 2015 90% of all communications will be by video. This is a cutting-edge technology that is already spreading like a wildfire! Don't be left behind!

Cheers, Piroska

How Do You Feel About Your Cell Phone?

Most of the time, you probably love your cell phone. It offers you independence, and it keeps you connected to the important people in your life, such as your family, your friends, and your boss. However, there may be times when your phone gets on your nerves.

One such time might be when you are talking to someone, and you hear static on the other end. The static makes it difficult for the two of you to hear each other. The call, therefore, turns out to be a frustrating experience, rather than one that you enjoy. If you hear static, it may be due to a storm in the area. You might therefore mention the static to the person on the other end and finish your business as quickly as possible. If you are on a business call, this will allow you to be productive by getting your business taken care of. If you are on a personal call with a friend or family member, and you ask the person to call back later when there should be no phone issues, the two of you will be able to relax and enjoy a good conversation, without having to repeatedly ask the person to repeat himself. Static is not the only frustrating thing that you might experience with your phone. You might also have your call dropped.

This situation, while very annoying, usually does not cause problems unless you were in the middle of some very important business, such as a phone interview. Some employers choose to do a phone interview to interview an applicant for a job, for example. If the call is dropped during the interview, and the applicant calls the company back to resume the interview, he should not be disqualified. Instead, he should be allowed to continue his interview.

When you have a frustrating experience with your phone, you might feel like taking your frustration out on your mobile device. You might want to throw it high into the air and watch it come down and smash into a million pieces, for example. Do not do this, however, because you will destroy a very expensive piece of personal technology that connects you to the world and offers you independence. Instead, find another way to vent your frustration.

One way to feel better is to go running. The feeling of your feet hitting the pavement should help you to relieve stress. That way, when you return to your phone, you will feel better. You will therefore be able to be nice to it.

If you feel like you must throw something, however, put your phone down. Throw another less expensive item, such as a ball. Grab a beach ball or a volleyball, for example, and throw it hard. Bounce it off the ground or off a wall. If the surface the ball bounces off of is hot, the ball may possibly burst. You will then need to replace it. However, it is much easier and less expensive to replace a ball than to replace a phone. Take a few deep breaths as you work out your frustrations. Very soon, you should notice that you feel better. You should also be able to return to your phone and enjoy a good experience.

Ignore Your Phone When You Are With Your Friends

Have you ever joined your friends for dinner at a restaurant, only to have one of your friends spend the evening on her phone, making and receiving calls and sending text messages? How did you feel? You probably felt unimportant and hurt, because her actions were telling you that her phone activities were more important to her than you were. Remembering how you felt, you know to put your phone away when you are with your friends. By putting it away, you and your friends can grow closer. You might even learn something from them.

One thing you might learn is that one of your classmates is interested in you. He has been watching you and smiling. Your friends think that he wants to ask you out. When you find out which classmate they are referring to, you are excited and happy. You agree with your friends that the boy is cute, and then you think to yourself that you will say ‘hi’ to him tomorrow and see what happens. You might learn other things from them, as well.

They might talk about getting together to try out for the track team. If you join them for the tryouts, and all of you make the team, you will be doing an activity together—an exciting activity that will allow you to stay fit, travel, and compete. They might also talk about activities that do not pertain to school.

Perhaps they are planning on a road trip to a nearby city this weekend, where they will go shopping and see a movie. You are eager to see the movie that they want to see, and you have an item that you have had your eye on. While you are out with them, you intend to buy it. Your phone, and the calls and messages that you receive on it, are all important, of course. While you should not be on your phone while you are out with your friends, it is important to stay in touch with the people in your life. Therefore, the next day, check your phone. Answer the texts, and return the phone calls that you missed. You might be very surprised.

One text might be from your grandmother, who misses you and wants to talk with you to see how you are doing. If you slow down and spend some time with your phone, you will also discover some calls you received. Take the time to return the calls and text messages. That way, the important people in your life will know that you are alright. You can then focus on what you need to do.

The Portable Breathalyzer World Today

The Portable Breathalyzer World Today

Let’s talk about portable breathalyzers and what they mean to you, your community and everyone’s safety. Portable breathalyzers have been around for many years, although current technology has allows them to drop significantly in price and are no longer just a tool of law enforcement. In fact, they’re becoming almost routine to have across bars, campus and businesses around the country.

The reason I’m passionate about breathalyzers is that they save lives. They have saved my life. They may have saved yours at one point.

It’s a fact, portable breathalyzers save lives. No longer a tool that law enforcement uses on the side of the road, today’s portable breathalyzer is designed for you to keep on your person, in your glove box, console or purse. It’s designed to be small and accurate. It’s designed to give you an indication that you or your loved one has had too much to drink and that another method of transportation is needed.

Sure but how do they save lives? Easy. One blow and you know. At that point, you must have enough judgment in you to decide to put the keys down. Put the keys down and you will not have a head on with a tree, or worse, an innocent family passing by you. It’s really that simple.

Another reason people have portable breathalyzers is for parties and events at home. Let’s say you have a back yard barbecue and have a bunch of your friends over. After burgers and beer, it’s time for them to go home for the evening. Everyone’s been drinking and having a great time. Why risk that one of your friends get a DUI or worse? Break out the portable breathalyzer, give everyone their own mouthpiece (yep it’s that easy) and ensure everyone is safe to drive. I guarantee they’ll thank you.

Saving money. How can a portable breathalyzers save you money? Simple. On average in the United States, a DUI will cost just over $10,000. That’s a lot of money in my book and I’m sure in yours too. Would knowing that you’re too intoxicated to drive change your tune if you had to shell out $10,000 if you got caught driving drunk.

As you can see, there is a huge upside to using a portable breathalyzer and a massive downside for not. Portable breathalyzers are designed for your safety and are changing the way we consume alcohol. Just a little awareness can go a long ways.

Why Apple Macbook Pro is Worth Buying

Why Apple Macbook Pro is Worth Buying

In today's world of tablets, smart phones, and laptops under $300 at retail stores, it seems hard at first to justify buying anything more expensive. Why buy a Macbook when many of the same things can be done on a PC that costs much less? Well, here are five reasons why a Macbook Pro should be on top of your list of choices.

The first (and strongest) reason is reliability. Windows 7 and Windows 8 have proven to be far more reliable than Windows Vista, but they still do not compare to Mac OS Mountain Lion and Mac OS Lion (these are the 2 most recent operating systems used on Macs, for all of you who don't keep up with those kinds of things). I have 2 computers that use Windows 7, a cheaper HP laptop and an expensive HP laptop (Intel i5, 6GB of RAM, plays blu-ray, etc.). I'll admit, they are more reliable than my Windows XP computer, but are still plagued with issues familiar with PC's. They have to be restarted at least once a week, because I'll spot a glitch sooner or later in the system. A new virus is created for Windows all the time, and antivirus companies are constantly having to scan your computer for infections.

Meanwhile, my Macbook Pro is restarted on an average of less than once a month, and I don't have to worry about any antivirus subscriptions (Apple deals with all security issues on a massive level, before they ever happen to my computer. Microsoft's security updates don't include antivirus - the first thing a new Windows PC will tell you is "Hey, you should probably subscribe to an antivirus program."). In fact, 90% of the restarts on my Mac are to finish installing updates (which happen far less often on Macs).

The second reason is concentration (lack of distractions). When logging in on any of my Windows 7 computers, the first 20 minutes are spent closing windows that come up automatically. These range from updates to automated software with no options to deactivate. The last time I checked, computers were invented to serve us, instead of us serving them! All these notifications asking me to restart my computer for updates, or close all my windows to finish installations get annoying! By the end of my computer session, I have about half of the things accomplished that I had set out to do.

My Macbook is another story. When I log into my username on my Macbook, 49 out of 50 times it will not bother me with trivial notifications. The only notifications I get on a regular basis are email reminders, which I can choose to deactivate. When I finish a session on my Macbook, I usually find myself having loads of spare time. This is because I can log on, complete my goals, and log off - no strings attached!

The third reason is efficiency. My most expensive HP laptop with Windows might last 4 hours on a charge, doing simple tasks like reading articles on the internet (it came with an extended charge battery, too). My Macbook, however, lasts around 7 hours with moderate usage - this may include watching a DVD, surfing the web, and writing documents. If all I did was surf the internet, it would last closer to 10 hours. How can this be possible? Well, Mac OS Mountain Lion is built for efficiency, and Windows 7 is not. Both of my Windows 7 computers will heat up fast, and the fans have to run anywhere between halfway and full-blast. Meanwhile, my Macbook can be used all day and the fan will still be too quiet for anyone to hear. The bottom will heat up, but rarely enough for the fan to get louder.

The fourth reason is integrity. Every program that came with my Mac is a full-featured program. No trials, no subscriptions, no strings attached! I can use any program on my Macbook, and it will never tell me "Your free trial has expired. To continue, please order today." Now, there are free trials available for Macs. However, none of them have to come with the system to fool you into thinking you have more bells and whistles than what actually came in the package.

The fifth reason is hardware design. I know everyone talks about how cool Apple products look, but they offer so much more than appearance! Most people with Windows computers upgrade to a new computer every 4 years. My Macbook was made in 2009 and I have no serious reason to upgrade now. Don't you hate to buy something that goes outdated the next day? Well, Macs are proven to last several years longer than Windows PC's. My newest Windows PC is a 2011 model, and 2 of the screws have fallen out of it. In addition, the touchpad doesn't always work. Meanwhile, my Macbook has the best touchpad I have ever used. Also, not a single screw has fallen out of its unibody frame.

Even though everyone should experience a Macbook, I understand it won't suit every need. Macs don't come with blu-ray, and video games are scarce in comparison to PC games. However, blu-ray drives can still be purchased in addition to Macs. Also, most people don't buy computers for video games. I bought my Macbook Pro for school, and my grades would be horrible if I used it a lot for games anyway. The cheapest Macbook Pro costs around $1,200 new. However, the system is so proven that you can buy a used Macbook Pro under $900 and still expect outstanding performance!

Most Important Duties Of A Test Manager In A Software Testing Company

In a software testing company test managers are responsible for entrusted to them testing processes. They must organize testing processes, elaborate test plans, choose relevant test strategies.

Test manager may elaborate flawless test plan, choose the most suitable test strategy and provide the best test environment. But all this will be in vain if test team does not work properly.

If testers do not perform their work thoroughly, don’t pay necessary attention to requirements or do not follow test plan and test procedures carefully, serious software bugs can be discovered tardily and will demand much cost on fixing. The defects may even remain undiscovered and appear after release.

So, one of the main duties of a test manager is to keep the test team in good condition. To achieve this it is necessary to examine and appraise regularly all the members of the test team. It is quite difficult and subjective process.

The appraising begins from the hiring. Any tester should be detail oriented, have analytical skills and be ready to muster something new.

If the project test team is already set, it is even more challenging task to appraise the testers. The manager will have to review experience, skills, knowledge, personal qualities and progress of every software testing company member in order to assign every tester suitable roles and responsibilities.

Tasks and expected results vary depending on tester’s skills, knowledge and experience and first objectives of the project.

It is hard to appraise tester’s work without responsibilities, established standards, duties and deadlines. First of all a test manager must make clear for every test team member what is required from him or her and till when.

Here Are Some Issues That Must Be Explained to Testers:

1. Execution of given assignment

Every tester’s tasks must be discussed, clearly explained to its performer and recorded including closing times.

2. Project timetable

All the test team members must be informed about project timetable. They must know about timetable of testing all the application parts and deadlines of test procedures, test designs and other phases of testing process.

3. Adhering to Standards and Procedures

Testers must be informed about the established standards and procedures. This issue should be clarified to everyone and discussed.

4. Expenditure Restrictions

Testers must be aware about budget restrictions and choose testing tools, testing environment and methods that meet the project budget.

If all the members of the test team are aware of their assignments, deadlines and requirements the manager can draw a parallel between anticipated and actual results of work of a software testing company. When mobile application testing, desktop testing or web site testing is in process or complete it is possible to appraise the efficiency and accuracy of testers’ work.
